The Motus Forma Approach
At Motus Forma Physiotherapy, we take the time to look at the whole picture. Every body tells a story, shaped by old injuries, movement habits, and the demands of daily life or training.
We look beyond the immediate issue to understand where your body has been and how it’s adapted over time. By tracing these patterns, we can identify the true source of your current problem, not just where it hurts, but why it’s happening.
This deeper understanding allows us to create a treatment plan that’s precise, personal, and built around restoring lasting balance, strength, and movement confidence.
Meet Sebastian
As a Sydney and Inner West local, I’ve always been drawn to movement , sport, the outdoors, and the challenge of seeing what the body can do. These days, that passion shows up in my running and cycling, but it started long before that, with a curiosity about performance, recovery, and what makes the body tick.
When I first started working as a physiotherapist, something didn’t add up. I’d help someone recover from one injury, only for them to return a few weeks later with a completely different issue. For someone obsessed with sport and performance, this constant cycle of “pinballing” injuries was frustrating, too much lost training, too many missed opportunities.
That’s what pushed me to question what I’d been taught and search for a deeper understanding. It led me to Dr. LJ Lee’s ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™, a model that helped me see how different regions of the body are interconnected, and how the true cause of an injury often lies somewhere unexpected.
Now, I integrate this framework with my background in sports and spinal physiotherapy to assess and treat the whole body, restoring balance, movement, and performance from the ground up.
Over the years, I’ve worked with Shute Shield rugby players, NPL footballers, and ultra runners, helping athletes and everyday movers alike perform at their best and stay there.
ConnectTherapy™ & The Thoracic Ring Approach™
ConnectTherapy™ is a whole-body assessment and treatment model developed by physiotherapist Dr. LJ Lee. It’s built on the understanding that pain and dysfunction in one area of the body often come from issues somewhere else in the movement system.
Central to this approach is the Thoracic Ring Approach™, which focuses on how the ribcage and thoracic spine influence movement, strength, and alignment throughout the body. Subtle imbalances in this region can affect how the shoulders, hips, and even lower limbs function, often contributing to persistent or recurring injuries.
By identifying how different regions of the body are “connected,” this method helps uncover the true source of movement problems rather than just treating symptoms. It’s a powerful, evidence-informed way to restore balance, efficiency, and ease of movement, helping you move and perform at your best.
